As a child, one of my favorite pastimes in my father’s office was sculpting fish and aquatic plants from dental wax alongside his assistant, much to my father’s delight. We would use these creations to craft miniature aquariums in empty medicine vials. I also found immense joy in rolling back and forth on the dental chair, an activity confined to the office, of course. Though I have since moved on from these childhood amusements, I carry with me the invaluable work ethic, compassion, professional humility, and openness to new ideas that I learned from my father. My passion for my profession endures, and I treasure the legacy of dedication and love for dentistry that has been passed down through generations in my family, as I proudly stand as the tenth dentist in both my direct and extended line.
